The Way of the Warrior (Samurai) is a way of life, or better to death. Samurai are to this day considerd by most to be some of the best warriors to ever stand on a battlefield, a rough translation of the word means "To serve the Lord". Honor among warriors is seen as the highest tenant, if a samurai failed to uphold his honor he could regain it by performing seppuku. Samurai followed the tenants of Bushido or the way of the warrior. The tenants of bushido are listed below. gi-Rectitude Moral Righteousness yu-Courage The ability to confront fear, danger, pain and uncertainty jin-Benevolence Goodness rei-Respect Value someone shin-Honesty Acting truthful with fairness meiyo-Honor Virtuous Conduct chugi-Loyalty Faithfulness or a devotion to a person or cause TPO will follow these tenants whenever on or off the field of battle.
